Hello, World...Again.
I missed having a website.
Not a profile. A website. Somewhere I could put things because I liked them, without wondering whether an algorithm would show them to anyone.
So this is South-Bent. Because everything is a little bent.
There’s no grand plan. I’ll write when I have something to say, put records on the music page when I want someone else to hear them, and add things as I figure out what belongs here. There’s also a communal chessboard. Make a move, then leave the next one for whoever wanders in.
The look is intentional. I liked the internet when a website felt like somebody’s room. Sometimes cluttered, sometimes strange, usually full of things its owner cared about. You followed a link, found something unexpected, and maybe bookmarked it.
I’m not trying to recreate a particular year. I just want a place that feels like mine.
Some parts are still empty. That’s fine. I’d rather fill them slowly with things I care about than pretend this launched as a finished publication.
For now, there are a few albums worth another listen and a chess game waiting for its next move.
Welcome to South-Bent.
Let’s see what happens.
